It's definitely used for the Trader voices and other voice lines. Tangentially - while the Eurogamer review receives ratio'd dislikes and hate - they did bring up a valid critique, that is that the most memorable character in the game is Scrappy the Rooster.

i like it but the protagonist self dialogue kinda spoils it. though that's a personal preference thing. i like the writing in the computer logs and the visual space created is immersive but the mystery feels cheapened by my character talking about things i have no connection to myself as the player.
