I agree. VAR has sucked the joy out of the sport, as has social media, especially certain apps that we shall not name! I’d like to see matches settled by the 22 athletes on the pitch, not some jobsworth several miles away. You’ve charmed me, Barry! I take it all back!!

I think they got over 98% right in the old system. I don't think they're any better now, and football is less fun to watch. VAR in general has been terrible for the sport. I agree, get it in the bin!!

If the ref had just given the foul straight away, you wouldn't have a problem with it? I thought it was strange that he took a long time to come to a decision, but he did eventually get to the right call. If it had been a winning goal, it would have justified the extra time to reach that decision.

Not against that at all. I think the technology works well for offsides in most cases, but for a lot of things, it takes away from the sport. This case, however, seemed a good application of it, really baffled as to what people have a problem with.

It doesn't impact my enjoyment, it's the rules, that's it! It's not an obscure rule from long ago; it's a standard rule! There is no other possible outcome here. What would you propose to happen? If you could change the rules, what rule would you change and how? Get a vibe check before a VAR call?
