I set this story I'm writing to be basically a road trip across the US but all routes require me to take my characters through both Utah and Nebraska. What the hell am I supposed to write about Utah and Nebraska? At least Colorado has some stuff going on.

Frankenstein was everything I needed it to be and more. So heartbreakingly stunning and beautifully violent. The set design, effects, costuming, everything was so perfectly executed. This and Crimson Peak will have a huge place in my heart forever. @realgdt.bsky.social does it again.

I love Guillermo's visual motifs. Red = death (scarlet fever), following Victor everywhere, the memory of his mother. Circles = the cycle of violence, fathers/sons. Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts on this film. The most beautiful movie I've seen in years.

Disabled People are Being Mistreated in ICE Detention Facilities Why is no one talking about it? Where's the media? Where's the public outcry? Another example of the pervasive nature of ableism and how society views disabled people as expendable.
