October 4th is the birthday of Larry Craig Myers. He died at 56, murdered in Meeker, Oklahoma in April 2024. He found joy in simple pleasures – casting a line in tranquil waters, exploring the great outdoors, and whipping up delicious meals for his loved ones.

Ben was an organ donor whose gift transformed the lives of 12 recipients. Currently, the killer remains alive in prison.

A 15-year-old shooter opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle in the school cafeteria after killing his parents the night before. Ben and another classmate died in the attack, and 25 others were injured by gunfire.

Today, Oct 4, is the birthday of Benjamin Walker. He died at 16 in the 1998 Thurston HS attack in Springfield, Oregon. Ben was a kind young man with a happy-go-lucky personality. He loved Ace Ventura & Final Fantasy. Looking forward to his future, Ben aspired to open a brewery in his community.

She and her mother were killed by a family member in a March 2025 domestic violence altercation in St Michael ND.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to spend time with family, friends, and his beloved dog, Hunter.
Colter was taken from his 3 children and a large extended family. Fearless and dedicated, he served as a volunteer fireman for 2 decades, fighting numerous wildfires in Oklahoma and Texas.

Oct 2 is the birthday of Colter Jake Vaught. He died at 42 in Elk City, OK, shot and killed at his jobsite by the ex of an ex cultivating a feud. Colter spent his entire career in the oil field service industry beginning as a hand before moving up to supervising and consulting roles.

A ray of sunshine who brought joy to all in his orbit,
Frankie should be 8 today.
At 6, he found an unsecured gun and shot himself.
Every year in the US, hundreds of children shoot themselves or others with an unsecured gun.
But the NRA opposes gun storage laws.

These reforms will save lives. It is up to us to demand sensible gun reforms for our safety.

However, the NRA opposes measures to mitigate gang gun violence by stopping the flow of guns to criminals. Reasonable reforms include cracking down on ghost guns, straw purchases, black market sales, requiring registration for guns and reporting for stolen guns.

The unintended victims of apparent gang violence, Nenah and her friends were ambushed and killed while sitting in their rental car outside an upscale Beverly Crest LA vacation rental. Three suspects were arrested and are facing charges.

Many 2A advocates try to “write off” gang violence deaths.

Today, Oct 1, is the birthday of Nenah Davis. She died at 29 while vacationing in Los Angeles. A nurse & single mom, Nenah was taken from three young children — 8, 7 and 1. On a rare trip away from home, Nenah and two friends were visiting LA and attending the album release of a childhood friend.
