Democracy is about compromising to the point needed to pass bills. That is also a mechanism that ensures bills represent the will of the people.

Until Obama both parties knew this and applied it.

If Dems didn’t compromise then we wouldn’t have Obamacare or the pro-worker bills Biden passed.

I fear Trump is following Putin’s example, and wants to engage in colonial warfare again.

Expanding national territory by conquest of adjacent nations.

It’s no accident Putin put the idea of taking Greenland into Trump’s head.

While the senile old man rides in carriages around castles, builds his ballroom, puts gold on everything, plans parades, attends a variety of sporting events, threatens people, and reads the scripts put in front of him, this psychopath is the one actually running the country.

Trump’s deployment of troops to Portland is a dangerous escalation of authoritarianism. Now is the time to find our own ways of standing up and fighting back to preserve our democracy. Fellow vets: we need you to muster. And those serving: you can refuse an unlawful order as you may receive it.
