This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.

Thanks for the well wishes. Yes, somehow the external issues cannot be touched. And we appear to have a "low productivity" problem in the workforce (say those who profit off of said workforce), and of course stick must always be used instead of a carrot to fix this...

I don't live in the UK anymore, but I used to think anyone would be better than the Tories we had in power at the time. It is really difficult for me now to come to terms with the fact that Labour is somehow still not better than the Tories. How in the world did that happen? /rhetorical question

A reassuring statement. A positive outcome of all of this is that we are seeing bridges being built between other countries besides the USA. I'm sure the EU and Canada, for instance, will benefit from increased collaboration and trade between us.
