This poodle is about the same color as my poodle, and I'm curious what you describe yours at. He might be a little tiny bit more brown than mine but very similar. #poodlesofbluesky

I posted this on Facebook today, and one of my cousins reposted it on his profile saying it was the stupidest thing he had ever seen. I have decided I had a zero tolerance for family members who are fucking idiots. I have one less friend tonight and no shits given.

The next day I had only 5 strawberries.

Actually I just remembered This is 21st century. Attached is Julia Child. These have cup like flowers and seem very prone to botrytis.

My front yard has a clock of roses. I don't have all 12 of them in order yet. But I'm pretty close. Four of them are in the previous post. Here are some more. 🌱

It depends on where you are. Mine did not die last year, and I have a massive hollyhock, and if I'd known it could get that big I would never have let it grow. Not to say that I wouldn't have let it grow somewhere else but the thing is 3 ft in diameter now and 7 ft tall.

06.06.2025 00:40 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0This is in March. Several different kinds of daffodils, mixed with dusty miller and a lot of hanging baskets to add color.
This is early June, with tons of Guara My father-in-law's red amaryllis, fading hanging baskets, lavender and orange daylilies. There's a couple of miniature roses peeking their heads out from the dusty miller.
I bought my house 24-ish years ago, and this was a huge clematis. A tenant didn't water for 6 or 8 years, and I thought that I'd never see this again along with several others. But after about 5 years of watering, suddenly it reappeared. This is the biggest it's been, after about 6 years of blooming.
This is one of about five maybe six different versions of Guara. When I bought the house that was only a pale pink version. Now I have pure white, white with pink, pink with white, this, a darker magenta one, and a variation on the magenta one. I don't know the names of all of them yet.
I'm a realtor. I'm selling my own house, and I'm making a journal of my garden.🌱

I figured out yesterday that I'm actually addicted to gardening. Like really addicted. I have to keep myself from going out to the yard, because I know that once I go outside I will work until dark. It is my escape.

Found these in my yard today...
I don't know for sure what's on the left but the one on the right is called five spot even though this particular one only has four.
#tulipTuesday
I planted 25 of these ones a long time ago, and these are the only two left, with the rest having gone the way of raccoons or gophers. I'm not going to eat a tulip bulb to find out if they're tasty. When I sell my house, these two babies are going with me. 🌱

My son has been staying in our ADU while he job hunts.Upon his arrival a resident bat, made its appearance and seemed to make its exit.
No sighting until tonight, when my son watched #Batman. He had no more than started the movie when the bat signal went up, and out came the resident bat!

Part of the increased lushness is just the passage of seasons. The pictures are taken 2 months apart. I know it seems like a whole lot of work but you only have to put the rocks down one time. Almost all of the plants except the hanging baskets are perennials or at least reseeding.
