I suspect there's a genetic issue here - as there is for people who taste soap when they eat cilantro, or a nasty bitter undertaste in stevia. We do not all live in the same perceptual wold.

It takes a lot to do that. The plumbing isn't really set up for bathing, laundry, privacy, the electricity isn't either, most of the stores have no windows, bedrooms... might be cheaper to just tear it down. Also, malls are usually along a highway & not near jobs, social services, schools etc.
