Side note, this is my favorite film of the year. Carve it on my tombstone next to Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Drive-In of the Dead was a success! Over 60 vendors braved the temps and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Between 450 and 600 guests came out to support, to buy cool stuff, and to meet fellow horror hounds.

We’re so happy to host something like this in the PNW. Thank you guys🦇

Sometimes…the sequel is bettah (said in Maine accent). As is the case with Pet Sematary 2, a movie that manages to escape the shadow of King’s incredible novel, and create a grungy story set in the same world as the first, but far more engaging.

My thoughts on Tobe Hooper’s “Eaten Alive”, his follow up to “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”:

Michael J Fox is eating a bowl of Boo Berry in “The Frighteners” and while recording an episode on it for Brothers in Blood (a horror movie podcast), my brother pointed out that Boo Berry kinda just looks like c*m wearing a hat.

Great picks! King is actually a huge AC/DC fan, I think I read that he would listen to them while writing. Did you know The Dickies have a Toxic Avenger song? It wasn’t in any of the movies though.

Dude, you’re 100% right. This actually might be my favorite entry in the series; I saw it before any of the others as a kid, and it freaked me out. Just a hot, sweaty, nightmare. A dude at the bar literally tonight said this one sucks, and I was like yeah, this guy doesn’t get it.

I love Partytime by 45 Grave from ROTLD, Dream Warriors by Dokken from (you guessed it) NOES 3: Dream Warriors, and He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask) by Alice Cooper from Friday the 13th pt 6: Jason Lives.

I moved to the PNW from the Baltimore area about 6 years ago. A few things I miss:

•Fall (haunted attractions, pumpkin patches with apple orchards, colorful leaves, etc.)

•Old buildings with their historic architecture and ghosts

•Thunderstorms

•Lightning bugs

•Well-meaning people w/attitude

My tattoo of the Beast 🪓 from “Mandy” (2018) done in 2023. I stand by this being a top 3 movie of the 2010s, and probably Cage’s best performance.

“Dog Soldiers” (2002), really holds up well. This non-stop, macho fest of fuckery remains a favorite of mine within the werewolf subgenre.

Killer design for the creatures, some capital “B” badass moments (werewolf fist fight), and gory action made me fall in love with this movie as a kid.
