Winifred " Winnie " Carney a lifelong social and political activist a member of the Citizens Army , secretary of James Connolly fought in the GPO Dublin in 1916 she was known as the typist with the webley. Ran in the 1918 election for Sinn Féin in Belfast but didn't get elected. She died in 1943.

Lil Conlon, Sarah Duggan, Kate Breen and May Conlon. The Conlon sisters were members of Shandon branch of Cumann na mBan, Sarah and her sister Peg in the Thomas Kent branch both the Conlons and Duggans took the pro treaty side, Kate was from Killarney became a member of Fianna Fail in 1927.

Cork 1955 these ladies sold on Kyle Street which runs from the Coal Quay (Cornmarket Street) to North Main Street. They sold off the Street as they didn't have stalls. They collected clothes from the " Big Houses " on Sundays Well , Douglas and Blackrock. This was their means of survival.

Brigid Lyons Thornton a member of Cumann na mBan was imprisoned in Kilmainham after the Easter Rising she took the pro treaty side in the Civil War. She was commissioned by Michael Collins as the first and only woman accepted as an officer in the Free State Army.

Kate Birdie Conway in her early days she was an internationally renowned opera singer she eventually returned to Cork and joined Cumann na mBan she took the pro treaty side in the Civil War and dedicated herself to the care of the national army she is buried in Carrigaline.

Nell Ryan another of the wexford sisters a member of Cumann na mBan she took the anti treaty side in the Civil War. The Ryan family were very much divided in the war. Nell eventually joined Fianna Fail.

Another Ryan sister Mary "Kit" was the second eldest of the family. Kit was the first wife of Sean T O Kelly she died in 1934 two years later Sean married her sister Phyllis. Kit , Nell , Phyllis and Jim Ryan took the anti treaty side in the Civil War.

Phyllis Ryan wife of Sean T OKelly she was a sister of Min Ryan who was married to Richard Mulcahy the sisters were on opposite sides during the Civil War.

Josephine " Min " Ryan a member of Cumann na mBan she was engaged to Sean McDermott after the Rising she married Richard Mulcahy the couple took the pro treaty side in the Civil War. Min was a founding member of Cumann na Saoirse.

This elegant lady's name was Teresa Reddin spent her married life in Dublin a member of Cumann na mBan her sons were in the Irish Volunteer's. The family took the pro treaty side in the Civil War. They withdrew from politics Teresa remained a lifelong friend of Mrs Pearse.
