That Ute looks like it used to play rugby though, so I think they have got the ads spot on.

18.09.2025 09:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Might be a funny election cycle in about 6 years time when we are almost at 100% renewable electricity for large parts of the year and the nats insist on introducing coal powered cars.
18.09.2025 09:01 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah I have a feeling we are going to hit the upper end of that 2035 target anyway. The technology is there. Govt will pretend itβs all very difficult.
18.09.2025 06:17 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Disappointing because the larger the target the better off we are economically.
17.09.2025 21:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It would be a pity if there were a share of the non-Albury vote who were turned off the libs because they benefit from a massive pipeline of renewable projects.

16.09.2025 04:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The trick is to make people believe fossil fuels are cheaper or better for the economy. Which they arenβt.
16.09.2025 04:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And overwhelming evidence that renewables make fossil fuels look as efficient as a wood fired car.
16.09.2025 04:27 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0To be fair, the type of books they aim at are very slow moving targets. Itβs perfect content.

11.09.2025 07:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I suppose why would you pay people to compete with your own coal generators who make a lot more for every price spike.

26.07.2025 05:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It should be so easy to build wind though. Surely there is going to be enough money in these projects to super bribe local communities.
22.07.2025 11:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh I agree 100%! Wind and solar in an ideal world would require a far smaller amount of storage. Wind is an integral part of the best system.
The problem is the wind power has to be built in areas where opposition is so easy to whip up.
I feel like solar and batteries might do the job in the end. Then wind farms will swoop in and mop up the rest.
The problem is itβs far easier to argue against big projects. Solar has the opposite problem. Network operators canβt stop people installing solar.
The Toyota delay strategy.

The Overton window is open, letting al the hot air out.
06.07.2025 05:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is also true about the pursuit of knowledge.
A society who only seeks to know about what can be monetised is locking themselves out of knowledge which may save themselves down the track.
