I think policies and words can feel temporary:

in 2022 we moved to rural MO and let me tell ya. No one really cared about state-wide mandates. Going down to StL was a different story. But it l state and county level mandates, I think.

I tend to wonder about this, too. I was in Indiana in 2020 and I feel like things didn’t seem super strict (but we didn’t have to go to the doctor and we didn’t have kids).

The majority of my life I have heard people bash women’s and girls’ use of the word “like.” When you realize it’s a filler word like “um” and “uh” that are prevalent in everyone’s speaking (#yesallmen), your mind goes 🤯.

My introduction to autism was with “high needs” preschoolers and elementary kids. There were degrees of even that. It never even occurred to me that those who didn’t speak or did not speak anywhere near their grade level would be able to communicate with words in some way. This is very cool.
