We have a lot of cross dept/system access to information in Australia. And frankly, it makes life so convenient for the public. Eg. Being able to go to any Dr and have them pull up everything they need immediately is so damn useful & efficient.

Look, it's a good idea. But you don't do it all at once and you ensure that information protection and privacy laws, policies, and procedures are very firmly in place 1st

And those accessing data only get to do it through interfaces that only provide the information the requester needs & is allowed
