However, although I am not a historian of prime ministerial history, I cannot think of a government in modern times led by a Prime Minister who did not hold a seat in the house of commons. I know that some are trying to normalize this, but it is not normal. It would be more palatable to me if the unelected Prime Minister counterbalanced that fact with increased accountability by talking to the media, but he doesn't even do that.
