Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I wonder what Liam wanted to be when he grew up before he was kidnapped. My son is the same age and wants to be a teacher. If he had been kidnapped too would he even have dreams for his life after this or would they all be crowded out by fear.

Today, federal forces deployed heavy waves of chemical munitions impacting a peaceful daytime protest where the vast majority of those present violated no laws, made no threat, and posed no danger to federal forces.

I've seen videos of the indiscriminate use of tear gas on a large crowd that was clearly peaceful and filled with Portlanders of all ages, and well off the macadam facility. We banned tear gas for a reason. I join Councilor Green in calling for enforcement of our laws.

DHS in Portland used Hexachloroethane gas a few days ago, really dangerous stuff in your lungs, acutely and long term. Need a combo respirator filter to help with it. most NATO countries consider it an illegal chemical weapon now. Evidence the feds have tried to hide their use of it previously.
