What Comes Next After the 2025 Elections Read more here.

History has taught us that this is precisely when Donald Trump is most dangerous — and when Republicans turn to voter suppression, election subversion and worse. With the 2026 midterm elections less than a year away, Trump is already plotting his next moves. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/what...

Well said. I had the same reaction when I heard about the Democratic sweep. I thought Trump will not go down with a fight. I expect it’s gonna get very ugly in the near future.

I knew this was coming. Just like the last time around. So now tax payers’ money will bail out the idiot who created the problem. Typical Trump.

The playbook of demagogues like Trump is to protect the Oligarchs by dividing us up based on race, religion, place of birth or sexual orientation.

They want us to hate each other while they laugh all the way to the bank.

Don’t fall for it.

I don’t think this current generation of students is willing to suffer the consequences of protesting in the same ways that the generation protesting the Vietnam war was.

I think a lot about how much a student protest movement nationwide could have done to save some of these colleges and universities, or at least to slow their capitulation, if administrators hadn't already put in overtime to expel the politically active kids and get them arrested.

3 Scenarios That Explain the Epstein Debacle All reflect poorly on the Department of Justice.

The Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case appears to constitute the rare controversy in which there are no innocuous explanations for what has unfolded. The possibilities range from bad to worse for everyone involved.

Let’s take them one by one.

Marc Andreessen Is a Traitor It is the tech oligarchs, not young radicals, who have turned against the system that made them.

“They have betrayed the society that enriched them, and have put us at serious risk of authoritarianism, ethnic cleansing, lawlessness, and stagnation. They have betrayed the values that made that society great, values which they apparently only ever held superficially”

Like Obama stood up to the Republicans during his term? He rolled over. Now he’s calling for a tough stand? Bullshit. I call bullshit.

McGovern: Listen to this quote from Murkowski who just caved and voted for this. "My hope is that the house is going to look at this and recognize we are not there yet."

If you really believe that, why the hell did you vote for the bill?

The Real Democratic Civil War It’s not so much about ‘abundance’ as it is about how to reconnect with a justifiably angry working class.

The differences between the “Abundance” and corporate power crowds are real enough. But this debate obscures the larger divide in Democratic politics: how to reconnect with an angry working class. From Harold Meyerson:

I did an event in DC & there was a party for donors etc after. Was talking to 2 ppl & I said "Things are so bad." They said "No this is how it is. Things swing one way, then another. It's normal."

That's when I realized why Dems are toothless. They have no idea what this is. Frogs boiling in water.

Good God! Just when I think I can’t be more astonished or outraged by Trump, he does something like this. Your characterization of our time is spot on. I like the humor, but it’s sort of tragic comic.
