...and an NVME SSD would probably be attached to the mobo and have no significant "cabling" at all...

There *is* a procedure I followed once or twice to get the SSD to repair itself (IIRC you leave the power connectors attached, but not the data ones); and it *is* possible that the cables to the SSD might not be up to the (high) spec required

IIRC my SSDs which bricked were also claimed to be in good health very shortly before they died. If the SSD is misbehaving in practice (e.g. crashes), I don't think it really matters what the diagnostic software thinks

Earlier SSDs were certainly flaky, and I've had at least two brick on me: the problem is that (unlike HDDs) you get no warning there's a problem: one minute all is well, the next minute, everything vanishes. It's odd that a modern SSD would be as unreliable...

Let me be clear trans men and non-binary people are welcome in any men’s spaces I’m in. In fact if those spaces aren’t inclusive they are not places i’m comfortable going to / spending money in.

Maybe the problem is that, when they pink-washed themselves, we believed them. We believed that politicians cared about queer rights, for example. Now we know much, if not all of this, was a sham, and they just did it to appeal to liberals. Although it hurts, perhaps it's better to know the truth

Elderly UK cis gay man here. I remember the moral panic about gay men I had to endure in my youth, and the pain and misery it brought me. Then the same hit-points, sometimes modified, sometimes not, were used against trans folk. It's easy to spot bullshit when it's been directed at *you* before.
