I mean, not really……O’Hearn had been DFA’d by the royals, Urias was picked up off waivers, Laureano and Morton were on 1 year low $ deals…. Literally when all these guys were signed, Elias was accused of going “dumpster diving” and cheaping out…..

Idk, I completely disagree with Craig…. Elias traded a bunch of guys that were scrap heap pickups for 16 players, and opened up a bunch of spots for Beavers, Basallo, etc…..

They sold a bunch of guys they originally picked up off the scrap heap, or guys whose best years were way behind them, did not trade a single piece of the core, who have all dealt with injuries, they will be right back in it next year.

I still think that hurts in the long run…… all that would do is create fodder for the FoxNews/Outkick/TPUSA/Daily Wire’s of the world……he immediately becomes a martyr, a superstar that had his dream taken because of his faith, he would be the next Riley Gaines in a heartbeat.

While I find his mindset to be extremely narrow sighted, I’d rather him be drafted for talent, then educated later….. having him fall out of the first round only increases his Christian victimhood complex.

Meh, I disagree about “this roster”….. injuries man…..they have the fourth outfielder/defensive replacement hitting cleanup now because of the injuries…..Cowser and westburg batting down in the order would give this team such a better look, but what can ya do 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Everyone I say this to on Twitter calls me an Elias burner….but it’s true…..there wasn’t nearly enough pitching available to fix this, and frankly, Gibson and Morton were 2 of the best options available….

The thing I can’t figure out is why they have 2 different hitting styles….why do they have great ABs to get people on, then look like they’ve never played baseball in their lives with RISP….

Yes, it is Hyde that injured the entire starting rotation, the starting left fielder, starting right fielder, starting 3rd baseman, backup catcher etc.

Front offices are way too full of themselves….thinking they can fix a guy that had a nice stretch at some point but generally hasn’t been all that good….. Jorge’s April of 2023 was great, but maybe THAT was the outlier, not the other 6 years of his career…..

I just hate that we are in the position we are in with starters….. I’m gonna cut Elias some slack on the money spent front, because frankly, I think this years FA class was very lackluster, but the team hasn’t really developed any starters yet either….

The annoying thing is, except for Cowser in left, this is my ideal defensive lineup for this team, but they look lost out there 😂😂😂
