By temperament I'm inclined to observe that any song containing "Noel" can be improved by substituting "Oh hell," but the two best Christmas albums are Bruce Cockburn's "Christmas" (1993) and The Kingston Trio's "The Last Month of the Year" (1960).

Humming "Whom angels greet with anthems sweet while shepherds watch are keeping" and thinking Mariah Carey's would be an even bigger hit if she'd managed to work "whom" in there, and don't get me started on Ray Parker Jr.

I don't care what Sinatra insisted, I think for most of us life is more often "Until then, we'll have to muddle through somehow" than "Hang a shining star upon the highest bough."

Other people with depression merely eat and drink too much, but I also buy toys. Caught myself today shopping for a new PC on the first anniversary of getting this one, and it's only six months since I rapidly went through three expensive mechanical keyboards and three months since my last watch.
