But... I'm like Buridan's donkey between Spanish and French

City view. Buildings, sky, spire of Hermes

I really love my city, I do. But it takes my soul, my heart… my everything. It’s not as toxic as big Moscow, not as calm as Moscow inside the Boulevard Ring, and not as sunny, funny, and lovely as Sochi in the 2000s. My city… it swallows you whole.

It's one thing to express a thought in an oral dialogue, and quite another on paper.

The image features a Himalayan mountain landscape at twilight with the Belt of Venus, a pinkish horizontal band visible above the blueish Earth's shadow. In the center, towering chains of snow-capped and rocky peaks rise, including Mount Everest, second from the right. Part of the atmosphere above the horizon appears slightly dark and off-color.

This magical photo by Soumyadeep Mukherjee shows a fascinating atmospheric phenomenon: the Belt of Venus, captured over several Himalayan mountains.

It appears as an arch of pinkish light above the blueish shadow that Earth casts...

Moreover, I have everything I need.

It isn’t like we are all looking for a knight in shining armor necessarily, but we are looking for someone who makes us feel like the leading man or the leading lady in a movie.

I saw the news here that in a couple of years schools will teach using textbooks written by employees of the Physics and Technology University. It looks like pedagogical universities are out of luck again.

There are three things that really stick with me. My dad’s Hawaiian shirt. It’s been with me for 15 years! A teenage fur coat without sleevesβ€”my dad’s too. Oh, and silver spoons from my great-great-grandmother (on one there’s a tooth mark… by my grandfather). I wonder how these old things affect us…

Dunno about you, but as for me… starting a new scholar and work year is hard this year.
Vacation wasn’t so wonderful as I planned. Mental health is extremely exhausted, but I lost some kilos. LoL

I think my fatigue is caused by tension in politics and home situations.

New? Only the form, or maybe the instrument β€” like in the 1970s they had slide projectors, in the 2000s PowerPoint and projectors, and nowadays interactive whiteboards.
