I've seen him very recently doing exactly that 🀷 he was questioning lawmakers about why billionaires were to get tax cuts at the very same time these same lawmakers were cutting access to medical care. His exact question, from memory was
"explain that to us".

Worra brilliant orator you are .

That's the same distraction as before. Don't shoot her, the messenger.
The central allegation is that labour cabinet ministers are obliged to private healthcare interests, having accepted ( in Keir Starmer's case, during his leadership campaign ) funding from them.

27.05.2025 07:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

As I just said, that's a distraction from the crux of the argument. She's quite correctly drawing attention to the extent of private, for-profit, theft of our rights to NHS healthcare. We paid for it upfront, for decades, and you appear to be happy with that. Raise the bar FFS.

27.05.2025 07:56 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If she's correct in what she says, then the rest is a distraction .

27.05.2025 07:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If private healthcare interests are an asset to our NHS, why do labour cabinet ministers require thousands of pounds to make that case? The merits should stand on their own intrinsic worth, and they don't. The labour party are undermining our access to healthcare every bit as much as the Tories did.

27.05.2025 07:50 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

She's correct to point out the donations that labour cabinet ministers have taken from private healthcare interests. So are private eye. And you're wrong to defend THEIR grifting.

27.05.2025 07:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It's been covered thoroughly by private eye and Dr. Patterson. It's well known. They're in the pockets of private health interests and every bit as guilty of betraying the founding principles of our NHS by parasitizing it for their own benefit.

27.05.2025 07:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I've read and listened to what she's said for a while now, and every single word is valid criticism of a Labour government who are up to their tits in bribes from private healthcare interests.

Liberty Steel’s South Yorkshire operations lost Β£340m in four years Exclusive: court documents lay bare crisis at Sanjeev Gupta’s steelworks as it struggles to find buyers in face of looming liquidation

Fruits of privatisation.

Another crisis in strategic steel industry.

Liberty Steel’s South Yorkshire operations lost Β£340m in 4 years. Bailout likely.

Profiteering by energy and water companies has made steel making impossible.

Nationalise steel, energy, water.

Just heard an example of an American who’s just been diagnosed with terminal cancer + has lost his health insurance so has very limited treatment options.

This is why we need to fight for the NHS. And to anyone saying β€œthe UK isn’t like the US”, currently over 7 million cases are on waiting lists…

Something needs to be clarified: BOYCOTTS DO NOT HAVE END DATES.

The boycott against Target is working because it does not have an end date, these large corporations can take a 6 day hit.

There must be a demand and a consequence.

We cannot not allow people to co-opt terms.

Take that up with the ICJ, but they say "several months, to decide. That's a distraction. So is way back when.
The priority is a ceasefire, yet again, til it breaks.
Best FOR THE KIDS to be safe, out of the crossfire. Hamas v Netanyahu?
Both are terrorists in their own way.
Neither deserve support.

Of course not, and every rational adult in the world would agree, including me.
How does this momentary alignment on stating the bleeding obvious help to protect children in mortal danger, right now?

19.05.2025 22:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It's great that you're so knowledgeable about what's going on. Perhaps you could use that to suggest the quickest way to a ceasfire?

19.05.2025 22:37 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

They're responding to a hatred of Jews and in particular to what Hamas did, both of them recklessly.
And now Hamas should surrender because they fucked-up spectacularly as has been seen on AlJazeera for 19 months.
Since about a week in, every rational adult on the planet has wanted a ceasfire.

19.05.2025 22:35 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The first casualty of war is the truth. I wish I had your confidence that you've worked it out.
In any case, you're missing my point. No-one has the right, god-given or otherwise to sacrifice children on the altar of their ideology and hatred, by hiding amongst them.
The Israelis are no better.

19.05.2025 21:54 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

They say they're defending their safe haven to avoid a repeat of the gas chambers in WW2. And so, based on that understandable fear, they've repelled and defeated many attacks from their enemies.
Hamas, emerging from an open prison, have understandably rebelled.
But like the others they failed.

19.05.2025 21:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

In terms of the havoc being wreaked, no-one there emerges with credit. My point is that whatever they hoped they'd achieve, well, boo-hoo, suck it up, it's really not any more about fanatics of any type and their failed policies. It's about protecting innocent children. Taking sides is now old news.

19.05.2025 21:38 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You may be right, maybe they're willing to sacrifice their children on the altar of their idealogical purity.
But so also are the Israeli government willing to, effectively, ignore the plight of innocent children, in their pursuit of a safe haven/ never again/ it's ours from the bible.

19.05.2025 21:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

On purely pragmatic terms, to save children's lives, Hamas should face reality and surrender .
We've all of us had 19 months to rescue children from harm and terror, and we've failed.
In the name of sanity listen when the Israeli government say "never again".
You don't have a monopoly on outrage.

19.05.2025 20:50 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

The situation in Gaza is disgraceful.
Everyone knows a ceasefire is best.
The focus should be on saving innocent children.
The Israeli government will never allow itself to be voluntarily disarmed, see Nazi Germany.
We must be pragmatic
Hamas should surrender.
They tried and failed, at great cost.

Flowering plants from my garden in a jug I made in pottery class. The plants include cow parsley, green alkanet, forget me not, speedwell and herb Robert.

Flowering plants from my garden in a jug I made in pottery class. The plants include cow parsley, green alkanet, forget me not, speedwell and herb Robert.

When we look at plants (like the ones in my photo) for a few seconds (though I recommend 10 or 15 s), we recover from stress we experience afterwards around 60% more quickly than if we had not looked at plants (ref in next post).

May garden posy, to help with any stress that may be about to happen:

The Israelis have justified such "collateral damage", saying that this is self-defence.
It's disgusting and disgraceful.
And so are those who call for the extermination of "every Jew, all of them".
Separate the issues and focus on the true victims.
"We" must evacuate children.

19.05.2025 16:55 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Understand this: if Medicaid, Medicare, and/or SNAP benefits are cut, Americans will die as a result. It’s policy violence.

18.05.2025 16:49 β€” πŸ‘ 1240    πŸ” 297    πŸ’¬ 51    πŸ“Œ 21

He's insane.
And so is allowing children to be wiped out.
Ideally, we would have a ceasefire and take children to safety.
It's not an ideal solution to evacuate innocent kids, but it might save them.
There are no "adults in the room".
There are innocent children, and there are sworn enemies.

We each have one vote, so no big deal if some of us don't want disabled people to be singled-out, as an easy target - your vote will cancel mine out for example.
And it's the same if I object to Wes Streeting or Starmer lining their own pockets with donations from private health insurance, u do u.

From Every Doctor (on blue sky).
That anyone can compare this to a party acting in the public interest? Ridiculous.
By all means enjoy your fantasy that the NHS needs privatisation.
But why do these parasites need bribes to achieve it?
Politics is about helping people, not lining your own pockets.
