Crime and the perception of crime: @jburnmurdoch.ft.com via @stephenkb.bsky.social www.ft.com/content/9623...

Obvious point this, but people need to stop believing what they are told by Farage, GB News, and the general declinist and alarmist media narrative and start paying attention to what is really going on regarding crime in this country.

The BBC and mainstream media have a duty to get the truth out.

Labour are the Party who're putting right the years of Tory corruption & incompetence that created the mess they inherited. Labour didn't create that situation, the Tories did. If you’re someone who doesn't get that, then I suspect you probably don't get much of anything, really.

Starmer vows to uphold diversity amid rising fears over racism, immigration "Britain is, and always will be, a multicultural, diverse country"

Keir Starmer tells Eastern Eye that calling out racism must be part of cohesion.

"When people are being abused because of their background, or businesses feel they’re better off elsewhere, we must ask ourselves - what kind of Britain are we building?”

I will never not understand how a minority of people have decided that wind farms - significantly prettier than pylons, coal power plants, nuclear power plants, and almost certainly fusion power plants - are ugly. In terms of energy generation, what else are you hoping for that is better?

Two in five arrested for last summer’s UK riots had been reported for domestic abuse Police data indicates overlaps between public violent disorder and domestic violence and abuse

There’s a sick, twisted irony in the far-right protesting against asylum seekers for their alleged involvement in crimes, when 41% (!) of those arrested at last year’s far-right riots had previously been reported to the police for domestic abuse

Right, the BBC’s platforming of Farage is getting completely out of hand. On the left, the 4 stories mentioning Ed Davey on the BBC News app since April 1st. On the right, some of the 40+ stories about Nigel Farage in the same period.

Excellent piece from @andrewrawnsley.bsky.social . Was saying "avowed intent" consciously channelling Bunyan - the concept of a very British pilgrim? And I'd suggest that Starmerish would land better domestically if he didn't always have to fight to the death with naysaying MSM lions.

To those who question what Labour stands for – look at Best Start. It will change Britain’s future | Polly Toynbee Sure Start was New Labour’s finest achievement, and the Tories destroyed it. Now it’s back with a mission to put children at the heart of everything, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

Labour putting children rightly at the heart of their aims. Best Start Family hubs will lift children and young families out of inequality. This is the narrative of the Labour Party. Equality benefits everyone.

When you hear ‘Labour are just more Tory’. Remind them of these:

- Family Hubs
- Renters Rights
- Workers Rights
- Nationalising rail
- investment in buses/trams
- Nationalising Steel
- Greatest investment in NHS

True Labour priorities

Under Labour there have been 4.2 million additional appointments in the NHS since July last year.

That’s double the target, and 100,000 more appointments a week than the Tories were doing.

And waiting lists are down by almost a quarter of a million, the lowest level in two years. Not bad eh ?

They will combine existing Family Hubs & the Start for Life programme & also cover areas without these services.

Reform MP James McMurdock suspended after Sunday Times investigation He is alleged to have borrowed tens of thousands of pounds under the government’s Bounce Back loans scheme during the Covid pandemic in 2020

These are extremely serious allegations which expose - once again - my concerns about the last government’s use of money during the pandemic and the need for far greater supervision around MPs’ outside interests.

The Parliamentary Conmissioner for Standards must investigate immediately.

Public Service Announcement for “Journalists”

One year ago today, on 4th July, we went to the polls.

We ended the disaster that 14 years of Tory rule had brought on us.

Steadily, things are improving.

You don't have to like EVERYTHING the Labour government does, but they are doing SO MUCH to improve our country.

And I am grateful for that!

Trying to understand changes in government policy from mainstream media alone is literally impossible. All coverage is about low politics / ‘control’ / ‘power’ / ‘humiliation’ etc. My only salvation has been NGO briefings and listening to policy people I know personally. Ridiculous state to be in!
