(A) Univariate correlation between eGFRcys and eGFRcr, and (B) scatterplot of eGFRcr versus eGFRdiff at baseline. Shown are correlations in a random 1% sample of 1,569 observations. The blue line shows the line of identity, and red line marks eGFRdiff higher and lower than 15mL/min/1.73m2. Abbreviations: cr, creatinine; cys, cystatin C; eGFR, estimated glomerular filtration rate.

The fast corrections are probably due to an underlying transient cause of hyponatremia (not necessarily anything to do with treatment). More severe reasons of hyponatremia result in more time in hyponatremia and slower corrections.

Could it be that the longer the patient is severely hyponatremic the more likely is the ODS?

21.11.2024 04:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

ok, now do a thing with "time spent in severe hypoNa or symptomatic hypoNa" as a risk for ODS.
