Had I known I’d be wearing braces again at my PhD defense, I’d have chosen an easier to pronounce main concept. Because “Transnationalization” is... tricky. And "Transnationalisierung" is just another level.

Joining us from Brazil, Liriam Sponholz delivered the closing remarks for the RaMi symposium online: "it's not only about the normalization of the far-right but also the mainstreaming of the radical, and the radicalization of the mainstream".

The final presentation of the RaMi symposium is delivered by @dom-of-tronina.bsky.social! In their joint paper with
@luke-shuttleworth.bsky.social, using discourse coalitions, they analyze reactionary feminism and the mainstreaming of the far right in the German-language magazine Emma.

Next up, @luke-shuttleworth.bsky.social presents a part of his dissertation research, where he questions how mainstream parties in the UK accommodate anti-migration discourses in parliamentary debates.
