Chicago. Theatre. Active transportation. Cats. I dunno. I’m tired.

When *checks notes* Franklin The Turtle has to put out a statement condemning your literal war crimes 😅😅

01.12.2025 02:13 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I mean, is the fetus trying to make you make the next insta/tiktok trendy food?!? Thanks, fetus!
01.12.2025 02:13 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Oh, and GWU. Thanks for the post-it-note pad full of GWU-specific checkboxes? What is the point of that besides killing trees?
29.11.2025 04:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0As a Loop resident, the Xmas traffic noticeably suuuucks.
29.11.2025 02:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0BU is the other top offender, if you want the tea....
(Oh, and the gifts are in addition to the highly-produced glossy program magazines)
They're one of the top offenders for sending me (as an MPH program director) ridiculous gifts. Like, I'd be pissed if I was paying tuition and they're sending a competing program director (ie I am NOT directing students there) 2 lbs of coffee and a thing of steak seasoning in the past year.
29.11.2025 02:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I teach social determinant of health and UBI and induce demand are my two soapboxes where I lose my professorial tone and just go “guyyyyysssss can we stop doing ‘one more study’ and just work on implementation already?!?”
24.11.2025 14:54 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Love this in theory. In practice, I would constantly be brushing against it & walking around like that teacher who always had chalk dust on her arm or backside. 💯 too clumsy to handle this
23.11.2025 21:30 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0TBH I do not have a car, but I do recognize this pattern from every DIY home project I have ever tried
23.11.2025 02:51 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yeah, I think I’m probably just going to stay out until it’s over!
22.11.2025 23:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Once I got east of Michigan it wasn’t that bad, but I had brought a package that I needed to drop off at the UPS store before they closed with me and I was worried I wasn’t going to make it in time!
22.11.2025 23:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It’s almost a no even for walking, says the lady who tonight would be a nice night for a relaxing walk to look at holiday lights, and is now regretting her life decisions

14.11.2025 01:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yep. I’m the problem, it’s me for every fancy assignment, including my new misinformation assignment this semester, which I think I am going to regret. Yep yep.
12.11.2025 03:13 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Also “call it quits”? Like…Michigan Avenue is going to pick itself up and relocate itself to Schaumburg or what?
11.11.2025 13:53 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0TBF Mag Mile isn’t a mall (which I agree I’ve also always disliked the experience of). It’s an urban shopping area so you can directly enter stores. That said, I live a couple blocks away and still will choose to go to other locations of stores when I can because it’s so packed with tourists!
11.11.2025 13:48 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Feels like it to me. But I, too, might be on edge.

09.11.2025 03:30 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0This is such a worthwhile listen: how incompetent and undisciplined the ICE agents are, how scared they are of regular people. And her message that everyone can do something: the person with the whistle maybe alerts the person who is able to get in their faces, etc.
08.11.2025 15:55 — 👍 5 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0A location like that—convenient to transit and without having to traverse a miserably huge parking lot—would actually get me to get a membership
