Unbelievable work as always! The grain on those wings is stunning!!!

27.03.2025 09:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you!! Iβve been doing it just under two years now. I really love it and find it so fulfilling, more so than any other art form. I source it from Puerto Rico!! Iβve only been able to find one board with this coloring, but theyβre all stunning in their own ways.
08.03.2025 03:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I made this very cute tuxedo cat a few weeks ago! No paints, stains, or dyes on this whole piece - the wood for the eye is Blue Mahoe, one of my favorites :)

This is exactly what I do! Each day of the week has its own specific task - Mondays for drawing, Tuesdays cutting, Wednesdays shaping, etc. - keeps me from getting stuck at a standstill, and keeps me excited for the day ahead :)
05.03.2025 00:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you so much! Iβve found that using canned air tends to be the best solution for dusting, for that very reason - a cloth tends to get a bit βgrabbyβ on the wood! I do like the idea of a glass cover, but Iβve found that a big draw of these pieces is how tactile they are :)

This is unironically my political philosophy.

04.03.2025 11:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you so much, Jax! I am forever astounded by the natural beauty of wood - Mother Nature is doing most of the legwork here, Iβm just the conductor :)
04.03.2025 11:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What an unbelievable compliment!!! Wow, thank you so much. To make something that is treasured for generations is perhaps the highest honor.
Iβm dying to make another one of this magnitude! It was such a fun challenge to pack so much detail into a single piece.
And likewise!!! Iβm excited to find all my friends here!
04.03.2025 11:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Aw, SHUCKS!
04.03.2025 11:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes! It has about 2β of total depth. :) i have huge respect for your craft, though! Working with veneer is such a challenge!
04.03.2025 11:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You really are the coolest! Thank you so much for this - and I definitely will! I just finished up a wren and was thinking of you the whole time making it :β)
04.03.2025 01:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Incredible combination of mediums! This is stunning. I can only imagine what it looks like in person!
04.03.2025 01:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Forever amazed by you, Jynae! The more I revisit this piece, the more I think this lion might be the perfect representation of your true nature - patient, thoughtful, fierce. (Also, not to be messed with.)
04.03.2025 01:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love this!! Two of my favorite materials!
04.03.2025 01:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is gorgeous work! Wow! I love the way you used the grain to create shading on the boat. Beautiful.
