Actually—ANY pie for breakfast is great IMNSHO.

Very few commercial pies stand up against home made, to be sure. Crust (butter!) must be flaky and flavorful & filling must showcase the fruit. Most bakery pies are too gummy and too sweet.
I like combos: Apple-cherry or apple-peach are good (in season best of all). Pumpkin-pecan is also delish.

This should hit home for the Michigan folks most immediately affected—and northern MI is a deeply GOP (even MAGA) area—but I’m not confident it will convince them that the Trump regime does not give a rat’s ass about them. Bergman, the MOC for MI-1 is among the worst MAGA reps. We’ll see.
