BBC Four - Arena, Andrea Dunbar and Victoria Wood Programme from 1980 profiling writer/performer Victoria Wood and playwright Andrea Dunbar.

If you have 30 minutes this is ESSENTIAL viewing. My takeaway : the UK in 1980 had lots of talent but was a grim placd to live ! www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

I saw Shane MacGowan in the 90's at Manchester Academy when he was touring with The Popes. I grabbed my mates camera and my student press card and hopped onto the stage, he flashed me his inimitable smile with fag and champagne coupe in hand. I'll certainly miss knowing he's still around, RIP.

I wish for all this to be marked on by body when I am dead. I believe in such cartography β€” We are communal histories, communal books.

Definitely worth your time, cast, score, production values, thoroughly enjoyable, even stands up for rewatches of odd episodes.

He was scary in Peaky Blinders playing a Mafioso type, deliberately so I think. Quite an intense look about him generally I think.

Starmer needs Corbyn's secret weapon The young don't chant the Labour leader's name

Did a thing on Corbyn and, to a much lesser extent, Starmer.

I blame Thatcher for the whole sorry mess, without her we wouldn't have had new Labour, the absolute drift to the right resulting in true blue new new Keir Harmer.
