A retrogaming channel produced by @peteprodge.com , looking back at the good, bad and ugly in arcade and computer/console games. By following you acknowledge Chaos is the greatest game ever made on any system.
Hello, I am now part of David Van Day's Commodore. The other faction is now known as The 'Dore, due to our cease & desist letters.
04.08.2025 14:37 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've just bought the branding rights of Commodore for Rutland and West Northamptonshire. And still got change from the fiver.
01.08.2025 11:15 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, I'm hopping on that Andy Byron/Coldplay kiss-cam bandwagon. I know, I know. How hack of me. Anyway, this depicts me canoodling with a Commodore 64, then I notice the kiss cam (you know, just like in that viral video) and I then duck and try to hide. And that's a Photoshopped Commodore 64, I don't actually own one, so this never actually happened anyway. I have standards.
20.07.2025 18:49 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Plus, it has tens of thousands of preloaded games. You can't really whinge if a few don't work.
But wow, the hectoring whining in that article was beyond pathetic.
Anyway, I'm off to play Bloggo's POW! with my thumbs.
I had to tinker to get a few games working. The fact that the preloaded arcade Golden Axe didn't work was the biggest disappointment, but I sorted it with a working file. A few others needed that treatment.
About 95% of the games I tried, work.
And remember, it's at the ยฃ40 mark.
I bought a couple of R36S units earlier this year.
I know that not every game will work.
I know that the microSD card will be dog-food grade.
I know the ROM organisation won't be optimal.
But for just forty quid? I have no regrets whatsoever. Great fun.
Someone actually got paid money to write this joyless finger-wagging article about hand-held emulators that come with pirated games: www.androidauthority.com/retro-gaming...
18.07.2025 06:11 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0#WeTransfer controversy - the company denies AI involvement:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
honestly I was never that good at business studies in college but I was pretty sure you don't lose money on things you're not selling?
15.07.2025 10:42 โ ๐ 100 ๐ 25 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0An alert to all creatives using #WeTransfer. Basically, stop immediately! As of August, they will begin scraping everything you send for AI purposes (see the new paragraph in their Terms and Conditions below).
If, like me, youโre a voice artist, theyโll clone your voice. Avoid at all costs.
Stop using WeTransfer - especially for anything work-for-hire or covered by NDA.
15.07.2025 06:20 โ ๐ 141 ๐ 86 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 3In an attempt to alienate the whole C64 community I have taken a look at the new Commodore 64 offer and have spoken my brains about the situation to generate "internet drama on toxic social media".

"Super Trolley is interesting as Mastertronic coders literally got the famous 'cart' e-commerce symbol brought to life as a physical object. And then re-digitised it again."
I think he should pay to write. Literally, every time he picks up a pen or touches a keyboard, he should pay ยฃ50 for the privilege of doing so.
I'll reduce it to ยฃ49 if he genuinely codes a 128K version of Steve Davis Snooker.
It's simple to make a 128K version of any 48K Spectrum game. Save this program on a tape, then record the 48K game after it, it's technically 128K only!

No serious retrogaming community wants to read his mistake-riddled garbage. What an insane idea.

02.07.2025 10:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Now you mention it, it is blocky, beige and of limited appeal.
02.07.2025 10:32 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I was in Norwich yesterday. Here's a quick report on the commercially unviable retrogaming bar, Barcadia.
02.07.2025 09:35 โ ๐ 19 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 2That came as a big shock to me as the weekend started! I've known Kim for years, met her a lot at events. I'm absolutely honoured to have been the backbone of one of her videos, and it's one of my favourite themes too!
01.06.2025 18:23 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes, it's life.
I think I'll make more videos when I'm dead.
I've decided to return to video content after a long break.
And here I am now turning my attention to the ZX Spectrum's superb homebrew scene.
I'm playing Herbie Wants To Be A Millionaire from @bitmagine.bsky.social .
Am I any good at it? Is the game any cop? Find out now!
