I still find it is both of those things in the best of ways.

I have similar feelings about the Bakshi Nazgûl.

One of my favorite books when I was growing up and reading Lord of the Rings for the first time. The look of the films are so ubiquitous and established now that it’s sometimes hard to remember that there were are are other ways of visualizing Middle Earth.
