Helsinki is the city of size of Raleigh, NC (some 700K) and the metro area is like the Triangle (1.6M). The deadliest *zip code* in America, somewhere in Memphis, TN, has seen 150+ fatal accidents since 2016. Our city of 150K, Columbia MO, struggles with keeping fatalities down 10 per year.

Canadian official statistics is centralized; Canada only has one agency, Statistics Canada. American official statistics is decentralized, with statistical agencies in their respective departments: BLS in Dept of Labor, National Center for Health Statistics in Dept of Health and Human Services, etc.
