So if I see Rahu in the 5th, I assume that this is a person with a unique way of processing information. They might learn through technology (rahu is innovative) and will use these tools to create and advise others. Alternative forms of education would be a theme here. Unusual approaches.

The 5th house is about the intellect. Sure, children are noted here as well, but having Rahu in this position doesn’t necessarily bring one children or a desire for them (it is the opposite, usually, but there are many other factors that play into this).

In Vedic astrology, Rahu isn’t just material desire, it is the itch you cannot scratch. It can reflect the egoic pursuit of things (often material) that might distract us from the upholding of truth and purpose (dharma). It can point to areas of obsession or fixation.

I am not saying this to belittle anyone with serious anxiety disorders. I trust that everyone is capable of making the best decisions for their being. I am speaking from my own experience. For me, this has taken a lot of work and time, and I have tools that help me to navigate these tides as well.

I, myself, rely on these signals. I trust my body and mind to let me know when something is off, and instead of pushing them down, subduing them, I see it as an opportunity to listen.

For some, anxiety is a signal that something in your life is out of order, off balance, or disconnected. If we look at this objectively, we can see it as a tell: something must change. I must take care of myself.

Imagine if we saw #anxiety as a normal reaction to disconnection from the #natural world paired with constant over stimulation instead of as an inherent defect? #ayurveda #disorder #environment #Vedicastrology #psychology

If you explore classical #ayurveda, it is inevitable that you will encounter the other #shastras. Like #jyotish #vedicastrology #vastu #hasta … The knowledge that all is divine becomes clear, & the shastras provide a clear path for understanding the self and the world as one.

#ayurveda came about as a response to people moving from the forest to the city. #Illnesses of #disconnection began to show up in the population. The job of the vaidya was essentially to reconnect the people with #nature.

Knowledge of the #elements is a way of understanding the body through this relationship, and like any relationship that is well rooted, it takes time to establish. It takes devotion. #Āyurveda is a #devotional practice to animistic forces as revealed through the #elements.

The #Āyurvedic practice is almost #alchemical. The practitioner guides the body towards a state of balance, or equilibrium, using the qualities present to balance each other out.

The language of the #elements is the #gunas or #qualities. A #vaidya uses the #gunas to assess the state, location, & quantity of the #elements or #doshas. Developing the vision required to understand the gunas and how they manifest is essential and requires relationship with the elements.

A #vaidya, an #Āyurvedic doctor, or practitioner, can read and speak the language of these 5 great elements that are the building blocks of all living and non-living things in existence. #earth, #water, #fire, #air, #space.

The recognition of the presence of animate forces that move through time and space, forces that enter our beings and perform their #dharma, or work, within our being is, essentially, #spiritual #animistic in nature.

#Āyurveda interprets the interactions between the many parts of our #being (the physical parts as well as the spiritual and emotional) and how they relate with the #natural and unnatural, or human made, world through the presence of the #elements.

#Āyurveda isn’t just a #healing system, it is a path that is both practical, #spiritual, & #animistic. Through Āyurveda, we enter into a relationship with the #elements & we develop an #objective & #relational approach to the body, mind, and spirit from their perspective.

Looking at this through the lens of #vedicastrology is interesting ~ #Rahu (film) & #Jupiter (learning, knowledge) are connected in a #Nakshatra #parivartana. Rahu is in the 12th (foreign travel) and Jupiter is in the 4th (home, education). This travel took place during Rahu #Mahadasha
