This got me wondering if Le Carre ever expressed an opinion on the adaption which led me to this lovely thing.
I'm enjoy the new series, but it does feel very un Le Carre like, too much momentum and rather implausible scenarios

Given how terrible movie adaptions usually are, these Japanese graphic novels really capture the atmosphere of the books beautifully, minus some of the gibbous prose.

Vessel is probably the most accessible but you're discerning enough to plunge in. I'd just start at the beginning and do the albums in release order.
