I've had 3 stories edited by Samantha Kolesnik, which makes them special. Those anthologies went out of print years ago.

But thanks to @datlow.bsky.social @manylittlewords.bsky.social & @nefariousbatpress.bsky.social, the stories are back in new books 🖤 hopefully Sam's novellas will follow someday.

I was doing a list for my horror book club and looking on Edelweiss last night when I saw this and it looks so good, can't wait to read it. I know we aren't meant to judge by covers but that one had me in a chokehold I love it.

I was thinking about this last night as I'm seeing it tonight that I feel like it looks so slick and I suspect that's a part of Wrights choice for the film and feels like it mirrors the 80s and NOW. Like LOOKING the way it does while being the story it is. Or I will just give Wright every grace 🤣

And yeah, Lonesome Dove was a book that my grandmother’s boyfriend who drove a motorcycle-I thought he was so cool- left at her house one time and I started reading and it just absolutely rocked me as an early reader.

Oh yeah yeah yeah I remember that now thank you that didn’t bother me either and and tell me I’m worthless the audiobook-. The house has like an echo sound when it talks and that didn’t bother me! It’s more like background noise if that makes sense.

I wasn't sure if it was gone because I did look at my current read and I wasn't able to see a number (am on my desktop is maybe why though too) and YAY Im glad I could help! I think it is hard to notice though !

Oh see I didn't even notice the sound effects at the end of BHH!! Ive done a few others where when it pops up it just actually makes it unbearable for me. I wish I didn't have that sound stuff. And YEP its also like older folks in our store picking it up, just a perennial great.
