02.11.2025 20:42 β π 250 π 59 π¬ 0 π 3A friend recently told me food banks don't often get or give out seasonings/spices, so when I went shopping for the community fridge today I picked up a couple containers of iodized salt. There was a woman taking things as I dropped mine off, so she helped me unpack and asked if she could have one.

It is the romance of failure. The mortal beauty of trying and missing seven times out of 10 and still being considered great. It is the only sport where patience is a weapon, and panic the surest death. You cannot simply run out the clock in baseball; you must face it, pitch by terrifying pitch, until it finally releases you.
Did not expect one of the best paragraphs Iβd read about baseball would come from an Irish newspaper

Rufus, a white kitten with grey tabby spots.
Vincent, a sturdy brown tabby kitten with a face like an owl.
We still havenβt received any applications for any of these lovely Final Fantasy colony kittensβ Vincent, Yuffie & Rufus (Yuffie & Rufus are a bonded pair, and they have a sister Elena who will be adoptable shortly as well). Vincent was one of the first kittens rescued from that colony, butβ

02.11.2025 01:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A cat faced spider with its head at the top of the photo. It's orange in color overall with almost a kind of banding of orange and paler color on each leg. Little, well tiny, hairs are standing up on each leg. The spider's abdomen is a striking bright orange color with hints of yellow and darker orange. Two small raised areas (the cat's ears) are yellowish and on each side of the abdomen. There are the same teeny, tiny hairs on the abdomen. I'm not a huge spider fan but I have to give it to this spider, it is quite magnificently orange and it walks like it knows it. Way to go little spider. 10/10.
A closer look at the orange masterpiece that is the Cat-faced spider. It looks like a sunset or sunrise playing out on its butt (there's a sentence I didn't expect to write).

And she hoped, when the rain started falling through the opening overhead, that it would be a deluge. She laughed as she tilted her head back to catch drops on her tongue, but they werenβt enough. She opened her mouth again for more and more, until she no longer remembered that it was her own voice echoing off the stone walls, no longer remembered anything but deep emptiness and waiting, mouth open, for more.
