If you’re near Seattle, the Ai Weiwei show at SAM is stunning. It is unfortunately closing Sunday but I hope that it’s moving to a museum elsewhere in the US. As you can see, my kid felt very passionate and inspired

I have a pressure canner that hasn’t been used in years and needs to be tested. I have a bucket of potatoes I pulled from the garden and jars and jars of broth in the freezer I’ve made from many Costco rotisserie chicken dinners 😅

I’ve been canning a lot lately. I haven’t done much in years but I figure now’s the time. I’ve done pickled sweet peppers, asparagus and green beans, peaches, preserves, and juice concentrate. I have a box of apples to make sauce and I’m going to blend some with other fruits and berries 😻

He’d probably just grow out of them before then anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I was a kid we weren’t allowed to touch our new clothes and shoes until the first day of school. Now as a mom I’m desperate to throw away my kids high water pants and torn up shoes and holey flannels and hoodies so they’re available immediately. I could care less about the first day of school 😅

Stopped at my local Costco in western Washington today and the produce section was low - the walkways were twice as wide as normal in the refrigerated area and non refrigerated area. They even filled in an entire table with baked goods that usually has produce. What are you seeing out there?
