Thank you Rep. @raskin.house.gov for your resolution on the House floor recognizing #BannedBooksWeek!

We're grateful for the support of library champions in Congress who are showing up for libraries, library workers, and intellectual freedom.

With a young protagonist who decides to solve a series of murders in her community, THE LIST OF SUSPICIOUS THINGS by Jennie Godfrey sounds like a charming coming of age story that will appeal to fans of Alan Bradley’s Flavia de Luce mysteries. #ewgc @hachettelibrary.bsky.social

Watching all the Katrina coverage after 20 years, I’m still wondering why they sent empty buses to evacuate people. The government should have given tax breaks to any store willing to send supplies into the city- full buses of supplies in, full buses of people out. Was that done? I don’t know

Reminds me of what Caitlin Moran said about public libraries - a place where you are not a consumer, but a citizen instead.
