What is the argument that Elon Musk should continue to be treated as a normal persona grata in the UK when he has issued a public call for pre-emptive political violence in our country & failed to retract it?

There could hardly be a lower bar & he and others need to know there are boundaries

So much terrible political decision-making in the UK stems from a British political and media class marinated in MAGA Right online myths that still hasn't grasped that Trump won a pretty narrow majority and then quickly went on to become a deeply unpopular President.

On the numbers alone this is either evidence that media outlets are perfect in their communication on climate change or that Ofcom is completely failing to enforce its own standards.

and if you think that if we let the BBC get destroyed what would come in its place would be *more* left-wing... I think you haven't really been paying attention to how money works, how much money tech billionaires have, and what they're doing with it in the UK media landscape *already*.

Hey so I think if we want to exist as a society we need to regulate the fuck out of GenAI and I think a big easy first step is keeping it a country mile away from political ads.

Lam says on air the policy is to remove those "because" they broke the rules/conditions under which they came

But her policy is to retrospectively change the rules/conditions under which they came!

Lam knows this will be perceived as unfair: she will feel "great personal sympathy" for deportees

Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

Jenrick casting 1980s British football hooliganism as something that was easily dealt with by police and not an era defining issue which we're still living with the consequences of today... He's genuinely the most unserious person in British politics rn

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Brits want Nigel Farage to step away from the Brexit shredder Polling commissioned by POLITICO shows wide public support for Labour’s EU reset.

Closer ties with the EU are good for the UK. But Farage won't admit it.

“Nigel Farage and the Tories want to rip up a deal that benefits jobs and bills in the UK, and all because they are incapable of bringing themselves to have any relationship with Europe."
