Stephen Colbert will be okay. If anything the cancellation of the Late Night Show will free him up for long form interview formats. His crew will be looking for work at the same time as PBS and NPR crews. I see an opportunity for Colbert to lift up public broadcasting. His audience will follow.

Andrea Gibson, poet laureate of Colorado and magnificent human being, died today at age 49. During the pandemic I ended up taking an online writing workshop with Andrea and Meg. It was fleeting and fulfilling. Like poetry and their life that created it. RIP.

For what it's worth Jacob Lawrence was a huge fan of libraries and made many images of them over the years. I love his 1979 screenprint "The Library" for featuring a library worker in the foreground, pushing a cart full of books
