love this show

some of my favorite episodes of some of my favorite shows are ones where they completely break away from the main story of the show just to go hang out and have a bbq or something

yes, i want more “filler” episodes! not every episode needs to push the plot forward a thousand steps. we NEED sidequest episodes to get to know the characters and their environment better

i found an old vhs tape a few years ago that had old diaper commercials from the 90s and they were basically like “if you dont buy our brand of diapers youre abusing your child and should be ashamed” which seemed super aggressive and i can’t imagine that that was effective? but was it at one time?

is there anything like this out there already besides the KH series? the closest thing i can think of is tv shows like harvey birdman (which reuses hannah barbera characters in new context) or pibby, although that project never took off

i guess things like smash bros and fortnite are adjacent, but not exactly what i’m talking about. those things arent really making a new story, whatever loose story they have is just to keep selling more characters for the toy box. i’m looking for actual narrative crossover or repurposing
