Okay. Thanks for asking. I'm an independent guide licensed through the park service so I'm not in any jeopardy... yet. This time of year there is a normal transition from fall to winter so places like the Old Faithful Inn would be closing soon regardless. Still, it's a bummer for our YNP employees.

The Fall is migration + preparation season for many species. Birds are heading south, bears are bulking up, elk are bugling.

Our research shows human disturbance impacts wildlife survival. The solution? Give them space.

The Museum of the Yellowstone’s last day for the season is Monday, October 13th.

We will be open 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM daily through October 13th.

Norris Geyser Basin will be closing early this year for maintenance. The thermal area will close on October 15th for much needed repairs to its infrastructure.
