I think if the games good enough you make room. The only time size would put me off is if it felt unecessary or it was because of surplus features.

When I was a teenager my cat used to love getting into #boardgame boxes more than any other. If a game had compartments for pieces & cards he’d stretch out and kind of slink around, trying to fill them all at once. He was bloody great.
