If everyone you talk to agrees with you, you don’t have conversations. You live in an echo chamber. “Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that.” MLK

I feel like Obama slowly accepting that the Schumer Centrists are the wrong people, talking about the wrong things and lost for any direction.

The first step to saving the party is admitting it has a problem.

Imagine if Dems had stood on principle and not passed the first CR in February. No BBB. Much less ICE terrorism. Earlier action on healthcare.

Warren and everyone else doesnt waste political capital on losing fights to unite the Democratic Party because they know Schumer will scuttle every effort. They better spend their time trying to keep hope alive and expand the reach of progressives until we’re finally rid of the Schumers.

The outrage in his constituents was so intense that he had to cancel his book tour dates in NY State.

Then, NYC elected Mamdani in the democratic primary and Schumer refused vote for the democratic candidate. He‘s not a bridge builder - he is a Republican stabbing democrats in the back.

The doors aren’t closed. They are wide open.

He lied to his party and constituents about standing against the CR in February and then caved giving the final vote needed to keep government open. Fair to say that if he hadn’t don’t that, everything from ICE to the WH mighta gone differently. No BBB.

I kinda love Newsom proving over and over that - economically — most companies and countries think its more important to have a deal with California - the world’s 4th largest economy- than the United States.

Please can we get some younger candidates to primary Markey. I want to keep @warren.senate.gov in Senate for another 30 years if we can. But that means our other Senator should be younger. And I’m honestly not sure what Markey brings to the table other than an absence of scandals.

81 years ago, FDR proposed a second Bill of Rights to guarantee every American the right to employment, healthcare, education, housing, and a living income. His words are as relevant now as they were then. Watch.

It’s actually a dark time.

When I see these puritanical fights on bsky, I just question if we’re actually leading with principle or if we’re content with performance

Thanks for the conversation and glad you’re running. I do believe we need radical empathy to move forward. Currently, a section of America felt so unheard they empowered actual Nazi’s, like Hesgeth, and domestic terrorists, like Noem, to stomp on the country while the president defecates on the

Wood also failed to make those disclosures while making comment on the NYT prior accusing him of scamming the elderly or ECU’s decision not to endorse him.

in politics. One can almost draw 1 to 1 correlations between the rise of mothership and total break down of the dem agenda and grass roots support.

Also, Wood purportedly spent 10 years on election reform and has not made the financial disclosures ECU wanted enshrined into law.

I think if Chuck Schumer were my neighbor or grandfather I’d like him very much. I’d probably even want his take on things and meditate on his pov.

But for the sake of the country, he needs to retire.

Jordan Wood has done less and is more Bernie Madoff than Schumer. Wood should not be

You just kind mansplained SA to me again.

I said “as someone who’s been on every side of it.” You again jumped to your counseling experience making you more sensitive to SA.

He’s not the voice in the room. He’s at least learned to let women lead the conversation. That was the lesson he was supposed to learn regarding SA.

As a women who often had to make split second decisions on whether or not a man was a threat or an ally — he doesn’t read to me as a threat.

I want effective principles — nothing will ever be perfect.

To me, Elizabeth Warren is the full package but the Democratic Party spent alot of energy side lining her precisely because she thought for herself.

I dont have a full answer but i dont think it’s an issue that we’ll reconcile in 2026

better suits one for chief of staff or a think tank as politicians often succeed on charisma and then rely on strategists to help them get things done.

I think the fact that you’ve served and have a clean record means youve earned the right to be heard and given some time.

What about AOC’s waitressing experience?

I likened it to lacrosse helping kids get into the ivies. What’s lacrosse have to do with writing academic papers?

Surely serving your country is not a negative when campaigning to serve.

And many who’ve studied politics would say strategic experience

What matters is if his attitudes have changed and if he now takes the issue seriously and has internalized it.

A view of life that does not permit people to change and grow sorta makes any efforts at progress meaningless.

Why work for human growth if you’re default belief is that it’s impossible.

things all the time. That actually was the point of me too —to provide such overwhelming evidence and testimony that *widely* accepted attitudes and norms would be re-examined.

There is no difference between Platner and most other men his age and older except that he got caught saying it.

assume it was there.

As to what he said about women in 2009 — I’ve been on every side of me too and reject that a man gets to tell me how to think about the cultural change since then.

Let me tell you — *EVERY* single man who mentored me, hired me, controlled my career, etc. said similar

They told me to put my tip in the bill for Europeans because they’d

It’s hard for me to say the “why dont black people tip” thing as racist when he’s simultaneous at every BLM protest and calling out local racism in the police force. Also, my black friends love to jokingly tell me what I don’t understand about black people.

If that’s the most “racist” thing

His Reddit posts used bad or hurtful language. But as he jumped in anonymously to support gay troops, offered empathy and joined in condemning homophobia in the military and sadness that friends felt they had to hide their true selves to be accepted… it didn’t read homophobic to me.

if “lacrosse” can help rich kids get into fancy schools, “8 years of active service with an honorable discharge”should give someone a little boost when running for public office.

It definitely shouldn’t rule them out or make them the butt of a joke.

Those who dont like veterans as a default position say, “oh. they’ve done nothing to merit higher office. And we know nothing about them.”

Bull.

The job is to serve the state and country and their service record should testify to fitness. It is absolutely a qualifier for office.

I would say the same of everyone who doesn’t join. That it also doesn’t prove they’re on the right side of anything.

Veterans can do wrong - for sure. I only defended Platner after I saw his *past and enduring* unequivocal condemnations of prisoner abuse and war crimes, support for BLM, and more.

Op-Ed: Eric Ventimiglia: How a Maine Senate candidate cashed in on getting “big money out of politics” Jordan Wood's scandal reveals more than just personal gain; it’s a betrayal of the public’s trust in a system already strained by cynicism, Eric Ventimiglia explains.

didn’t get for him. it looks like more of the self dealing wherein 98% of donations funneled into consultant salaries and fees. Then, Wood and his husband bought a 3MM home off profits from “fundraising.”

It’s even been studied by a Stanford professor

Maybe … don’t align with Jordan Wood or use Mothership Strategies. I think after progressives get rid of the Schumer Centrists, we’ll focus on anyone connected to that spam and scam Mothership thing.

And Jordan is at the heart of it — he’s never had a job that his husband

So. To return to the beginning.

Be authentically yourself. Have a self impermeable to bsky. If you have to compromise that self to join a conversation, sit it out.

When you do join a convo, be witty. And don’t confuse bsky for the real world.
