Oh dear the new series of #yellowstone isn’t very good is it? Continuing last season’s ham fisted writing, including random bit part characters extolling the virtue of the cowboy life apropos of nothing and the cowboys themselves educating one another on woke terminology.

I’m really not on one side or the other here but, apart from the “typical BBC” nonsense, he’s right isn’t he? As he says, he’s not there out of concern for himself; he’s rich and will stay that way. His belief is farmers will suffer.

Unpopular opinion: #clarkson is allowed to a) #protest on behalf of people in different circumstances to himself and b) is permitted to change his mind.

Happy this place is taking off. I like #Instagram but it’s too weird; accounts with millions of followers like a millionaire who just reviews margarita pizzas, an ex body builder who gives diet tips based on his love of eggs and belief that everything else is “shit”, several fat men who say “bosh”…

Yeah I binged some of his back catalogue years ago so was excited to read this one. Lesson learned!

I’m now into a proper holiday read. Richard Osman’s latest Thursday Murder Club offering, The Last Devil to Die. He’s got a real knack for bringing characters to life inside page turning, fun stories. Reckon it’ll take me a day at most!

I just finished. It didn’t pick up but my mind is at peace 😂

They’ve just tackled doc3 in his underground lair

Due to complications I’ve ended up on holiday with just my youngest (19) for a few days until my wife arrives. It’s been so nice, although I’m looking forward to her arriving, that I’ve already planned a weekend with just my eldest (21) later in the year.

So much about a book is where you’re at when you read it. I’m finding the dialogue jarring but I do love the concept. I’ll persevere at this point!

It was recommended by loads of people I usually have similar likes to, so yeah just one of those times it hasn’t resonated! What made it your favourite?
