I use Yak trax spikes, and make sure to land on my fore foot. They stick good mostly, but you still have to be careful on the shiny ice. Never had any show damage with these.

Was itching to bike, knew what I was getting into. Beautiful break in the deep cold, killer ruts, super soft spots and uncleared deep snow. Still worth it, a few nice km's mixed in to keep you coming back! #yegbike #teagirlpickups
