Sanford grandfather, born in refugee camp, nabbed by ICE after 70 years in U.S. Paul Bojerski never gained official residency, but he checked in regularly with ICE for years. Then in July, at age 79, he was detained and sent to Alligator Alcatraz.

79-year-old Paul Bojerski was born to Polish parents in a WWII German refugee camp. His family legally emigrated to the U.S. when he was 5.

He’s been taken by ICE in Florida.

In hindsight, it was probably a bad idea for voters to put the full force of the US state apparatus and military in the hands of a guy who bragged that he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose any support, and who was also granted immunity by the Supreme Court before taking office.

I believe Trump when he says that he's going to deport people and he has an enemy list. People think that a second Trump term will be like the first, but it won't--not at all. He's out for revenge. It's the only thing he cares about. The Supreme Court has already ruled that presidents can't be held accountable to the rule of law if they claim that they're acting in their "official" capacity. He has promised to be a dictator and he has promised violence. He has promised to use the military and local police to attack Americans. You don't know who he'll go after, but it might be me. It might be you. If you think it won't be me or you, then you don't understand how authoritarianism works. Will Trump deport my husband? Will Trump deport my dad? Will Trump put me in jail or have me fired for writing a book about him and his dangerous rhetoric? The fact that I have to ask those questions shows you how dangerous Trump is. With our fractured media it's impossible to get good information out to the public, most folks are ignoring the news and only see bits of information, selected to confirm their biases. Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors. Vote.
