the most disruptive thing a video games executive could do right now is loudly and publicly double down on their commitment to their development team's artistic and technical craft and then put their money where their mouth is.

this was talked about back in the day with the trilogy too!! a lot of people really wanted his character arc to encompass some form of reckoning with the pain and suffering he directly, eagerly caused. it’s a big reason the third film just doesn’t do it for me, there was a lot of untapped potential
