The image is of a promotional flyer for a free webinar offered by Open Door Vet Collective. The image across the top of the flyer is of a woman smiling while holding a chihuahua, and there is a child next to her smiling softly while looking towards the chihuahua.

The flyer promotes a free webinar that is worth 1.5 social work ethics CEU credits and is titled, β€œAsk About Pets! An ethical call to action for social workers and other human service professionals”.

The speaker is listed as Dr. Janet Hoy-Gerlach, LCSW, LISW-S, Director of Veterinary Social Work at Open Door Veterinary Collective.

The text underneath reads, β€œ66% of households in the United States report having at least one pet, and the majority of these describe their pets as family members. This training will describe the ethical reasons to Ask About Pets! β€” across practice settings and populations β€” and equip attendees with tools to do so.”

Beneath that text, there is the official logo for Open Door Veterinary Collective, and beside that there is the official logo for the International Association of Veterinary Social Work.

There are three dates and times listed on the right hand side of the flyer as dates to choose from to attend the webinar: Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 12:00pm to 1:30pm EST; Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 5:00pm to 6:30pm EST; and Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 9am to 10:30am EST.

There is a bar across the bottom of the flyer that reads, β€œAVSW is a nationally accredited CEU provider through the ASWB. Certificates awarded after completion of webinar and evaluation. All webinars on Zoom. Speaker bio here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/emotionalsupportanimal/.”

I think we need to be more ok with being a little bad at things. I like singing & knitting & playing video games and I am bad to average at all of these things at BEST. And I don't care to improve! The act of doing them is fun and that should be enough thank u for coming to my Ted Talk

Also don't mind me randomly posting all of a sudden I am hoping to gain even just one (1) more follower so that the next time I post for my internship (shout out to Open Door Vet Collective), I get maybe even just One Like to report back to my supervisor

Your April Fools' Day reminder that trickle-down economics is the greatest trick of all. It's nothing more than a cruel hoax designed to enrich corporations and the super-rich at your expense. Don't fall for it.

May we have congresspeople with an ounce of the courage.

So ICE has effectively disappeared a student for protesting Israel's genocide, separating him from his 8 month pregnant wife. Pure fascism

By the way, ironically one way you can pave the way for building community is DEPEND ON YOUR FRIENDS. Don't just pay your own way everywhere. Ask people to share stuff. And make them feel okay about asking you for favours in return (and make sure that you are there for them if you can be).

Once again I am suggesting that you break some rules for practice. Get comfortable with breaking rules. When the rules are hurting other people, the right thing to do is break them. We need people who follow their moral code over the rules of their society, university, employer, and government.

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished

Just a random reminder that trickle-down economics was invented by conservatives in the 1980s to justify massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.
