This cat was meowing outside our door at midnight. The temperature here is crazy today. She is possibly pregnant. I could not just let her be scared and lost in the night. So, our home is now also hers, at least for tonight. She has settled down a bit now. Hope she brings us some good luck.

βAmericans are going to learn really quickly what itβs like to be politically isolated. We are burning bridges with our best friends. And letβs be clear: Russia and Saudi Arabia will never be our real friends. These are transactional relationships at best.β

Our study shows that people behave more morally in uncertain situations than in certain ones. This may be because they simply feel less anxious by acting morally when faced with uncertainty, or believe in karma where moral actions lead to better outcomes. https://buff.ly/4jbRsCP

Trump is similar to Bangladeshi politicians in how he talks (e.g. blames previous regimes, lies, somewhat anti-democratic, etc.). Bangladesh recently went through a regime change by popular revolt. I wonder what determines the contrasting public reactions in developing vs developed countries.

Seems fair. Do we conclusively know why USA went back to Trump after experiencing 2016-2024? Although I think it's probably less surprising this time compared to 2016. I am intrigued by how people formed voting preferences.
