5/ So far, Mayor Adams has missed every land transfer deadline since taking office. The Anna M. Kross Center (AMKC) sits empty, and must be transferred by this date.

4/ Per City Council legislation, the next deadline for DOC to transfer land from #Rikers to the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is Monday, June 30.

3/ These complaints also detailed breathing complications (including exacerbation of pre-existing asthma or other breathing conditions), odors, rashes, and gastrointestinal distress. No one should be subject to these conditions. It's past time to #CloseRikers!

2/ #RenewableRikers campaign partner @votesolar.bsky.social along with @nrdc.org used a Freedom of Information request to obtain and analyze over 705 grievances submitted by people incarcerated in #Rikers and other city jails.

1/ An analysis of grievances submitted by people in NYC jails from 2017-2023 shows 277 complaints about sewage, and 380 complaints about flooding. #CloseRikers #RenewableRikers
